Horse Riding

Horse riding in Alicante is a wonderful way to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside where the only sounds are the birds in the trees and the clip clop of the horses hooves. It is also one of those activities that can be enjoyed by most age groups, and young girls in particular just seem to have a natural affinity with these lovely creatures, many dreaming of owning their very own pony one day. Unfortunately, owning and caring for a horse is a massive responsibility and not something the majority of us can afford, unless of course we are privileged enough to live on a farm or large country estate.

Not owning a horse doesn't necessarily put them out of reach for the average person, as most towns and cities have at least one riding school or equestrian centre. This is the case in Spain, especially in the Andalusian region where horses and horse riding have been a way of life for many centuries and the magnificent Andalusian horses are some of the finest in the world, often used for dressage and in mesmerising flamenco shows.

Located a few kilometres inland from Alicante city centre on Calle Bernia in the residential area of Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Club Hípico Costa Blanca have been running their riding school, summer camps and horse riding treks since 2007 and have highly professional staff, good riding facilities and more than 25 horses at any one time. The club offer a choice of treks that take in a variety of different terrain and countryside settings.
